After ten years in the classroom (sped and kinder teacher), I believe the most magical thing in the world, (well, one of them 🙂 is teaching kiddos to read! It is something I am very passionate about as a teacher and a teacher-author.
In my classroom, I saw a need for more decodable texts that were cohesive, had great pictures, and a story that could help comprehension skills as well. I could not find them anywhere….so, I began to create decodable text for my students to check all those boxes.
My coworkers loved these decodable readers as well because we saw them helping our kids every day!
I began to offer them in my TPT store so they could help your students too! I get so excited every time I create a new decodable reader or other resources;k; because I know it will provide students the practice they need to become strong readers.
When I am not teaching or creating new books, I am enjoying time with my family, sipping a cup of coffee, or maybe even on a shopping trip to TJ Maxx!
